Bachelor of Science in
Computer Science: BS (CS) |
The purpose of this program is to produce
graduates with sound knowledge of computer science,
contemporary technologies and professional skills. It is a
four- year program consisting of eight semesters. The minimum
duration for completion of BSCS degree shall be eight
semesters and a maximum of twelve semesters. The degree will
be awarded on completion of minimum 137 credit hours,
including six credits for the final project, with a CGPA of at
least 2.0.

The study of computer sciences is relatively young by academic standards, yet
the skills it develops are among the most sought after in the job market today.
The Computer Science Department of CIIT offer both Bachelors and Master’s
degree program. The course work in the department focuses on software
engineering, database, telecommunication, networking and human-computer
interaction. It is a goal of the department to expose students to relevant
technologies and help them to acquire knowledge that they will need upon
graduation. To this end, both teamwork and presentation skills are incorporated
into the coursework. The faculty of Computer Science Department comes to this
field from a variety of backgrounds including Mathematics, Engineering,
Management and Business in addition to Computer Science. Their experience in
the study of computer science in long-standing. New student will find the
atmosphere of the department very informal. Instructors are very approachable
and always ready to answer questions or given extra help. Currently there are
more than 2000 computer science undergraduate and 150 graduate students who
come from all parts of country. Opportunities for students in computer-related
employment are high at the university and in the surrounding community.

Master of Science in Computer
Sciences (MSCS) |
The theme of offering MS CS is to provide the students of CIIT as well as from
other institutes with an opportunity to work in and explore their areas of
interest. Faculty at CIIT will also be offered to join this program to improve
their education as well as skills to serve their duties more efficiently.
