Environmental degradation is no longer a foreseen disaster. Its here and its effecting every individual on the planet and specifically the third world countries including Pakistan. Depleting water resources for agriculture, house hold and industry and the raging floods killing humans and destroying crops are the reality of the day. A huge task lies ahead of the society and the education institutions are among the first to take this responsibility head on. Environment protection is a global concern and scholars all over the world are busy formulating means to define a better end.

COMSATS Institute of Information Technology has always been aware of its social responsibility to contribute with research and awareness by knowledge sharing. The institute does not only envisage the modern and sound education to its students but also provides the platform for scholars and practitioners to propose policies for government and other stakeholders.
