The Department of Management Sciences strives to contribute to the broader social role of the CIIT in providing high quality academic programs characterized by cutting edge technologies and modern managerial practices. It was first established at CIIT Wah in 2001.

Our mission is ”We aspire to become a reputable department with high qualified faculty and facilities by providing excellence through business education and research in emerging fields. The future goals of the department are to train and develop professionals in many new fields. The Department of Management Sciences emphasizes on uniqueness and creativity in its programs. Therefore we are always on the lookout for the latest academic and professional programs which are being sought out by the business students and professionals.

An active Research Cell in the Department of Management Sciences is assigned the task of training of faculty and students, for writing research papers and developing research proposals.  Field research has been a major focus of the Department.  Some of the more recent research contributions made by the faculty of Management Sciences to external parties and stakeholders are:

• Development of Business Incubators,
• Women Entrepreneurs,
• E-Commerce Management and its Impact on Pakistan,
• Industry-university Cooperation,
• Technology adoption in OIC Members states,
• Islamic Banking, 
• Quality Management in the service sector of Pakistan

Past experience demonstrates that our program content is relevant and very much in need in all areas related to Management Sciences. International markets are expanding their business and research interests in Pakistan which has not only increased scope of employment but also expanded local opportunities through market competition.

Leading institutions of Pakistan and abroad seek out CIIT Management Sciences graduates for entry to mid level management and research positions in fields of Management Sciences.

CIIT Management Science Alumni are working in various national and international companies, including Standard Chartered Bank, Nestle, Mobilink, Board of Privatization and the likes.
