COMSATS Institute of Information Technology is now ranked at number 5 for research productivity

The HEC has announced the Research Performance 2005-07 of Pakistani Universities. As per report of the HEC, all over Pakistan the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology is number 5 and in Federal Area the CIIT is number 2 with 122 research publications on its credit.

Research projects and achievements

CIIT Abbottabad campus is proud to be among the very few institutes to file a US patent. In March 2006, Dr. Robina Farooq has been awarded by a research grant worth Rs 2.0 million by HEC for the development of novel model instrument. This project has been successfully completed now in June 2008.
