TECHNOMOOT
Technomoot is a national level event consisting of seminars, symposia and Industrial Exhibitions, Panel Discussions. It is the first ever multidimensional gathering of people of different technologies and sciences arranged at CIIT Abbottabad Campus on 8 and 9 May 2007. Technomoot is a unique expedition of high quality knowledge sharing activities in the disciplines of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software, and Mathematics at one place.
TECHNOMOOT 2007 was an event marked with success, when more than 3000 students, researchers and faculty members gathered at CIIT Abbottabad. The event was broken down into the following parallel activities.
Electrical systems, Micro-COntrollers and Telecommunications EMCOT
EMCOT 2007, third of its nature, is the exhibition and competition organized by the Electrical Engineering Department. For the National Projects Competition, 19 universities participated with 110 projects and 300 students. Three informative seminars were conducted followed by the Panel Discussion and the topic was “Future trends in electrical engineering curriculum”. CCIS Computational Complexities, Innovation and Solutions 2007
CCIS is the symposium organized by the Department of Mathematics as a rich opportunity for knowledge sharing. Talks in the symposium generally emphasized the computational aspects of mathematics and their applications in engineering, Physics and other areas. The symposium was a great success, as renowned scientists and researchers from different universities and institutes participated and delivered illuminating talks. 21 such sessions were organized when a large number of students, researchers, teachers and scholars were present. COMSATS Software Enterprises
Organized by the COMSATS Information Technology Center (C1TC),received tremendous response from the Industry. Companies from Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore & Abbottabad exhibited their products. More than 70 Software professional from about 30 Companies actively participated in CSE 2007. The Local Industry from Hattar, Abbottabad & Mansehra was invited to attend the IT Exhibition. More than 40 companies and institutions visited the exhibition and interacted with the software companies.

Dr. Naveed Ikram from Islamic International University delivered a seminar on the topic of “Engineering Software”. Two panel discussions were arranged to discuss the topic, “How should CS programs be modernized?” and the presence and participation of Dean, Chairman, HODs of all campuses and senior faculty provided a great encouragement and an opportunity for sharing their ideas. VISIONICT - Vision Information and Communication Technology
VisionICT is a national level gathering of Computer Science Community of Academicians, researchers and practitioners.
Through various knowledge sharing activities the VisionICT aims to promote the applicability of ICT in the practical/professional world for their future endeavours. The Computer Science Department at CIIT, is aware for its social responsibility to develope an understanding about the aspects of the courses offered at the campus. In this regard VisionICT invites people from local and national community to communicate the usage and implementation of ICT's in Pakistan.

MILES -Manage Innovation, Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Strategies
Keeping in view the importance of management and its strategic role in today’s ever-changing and dynamic environment, the Department of Management Sciences, CIIT, Abbottabad, has decided to provide a platform for not only the business students but also the working entrepreneurs, managers, businessmen and faculty for interaction and exposure within their community at national level for sharing the latest trends in the field of management sciences. This idea laid foundation of MILES which as its name explains for it, aims at providing solutions to Manage Innovation, Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Strategies. The focus of its activities has been intended towards the betterment of society and businesses through improved management practices.
