With the changing needs and new challenges of the industry, thousands of opportunities are waiting for qualified and competent CS professionals to catch up new dimensions and demands of the ICT industry. Since its inception CIIT has been working for educating and cultivating general awareness of public for Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and contributing to meet the ever-growing needs of the talented Computer Science professionals in Pakistan and abroad.

 

What is VisionICT?

 

VisionICT is a national level gathering of Computer Science Community of Academicians, researchers and practitioners.

Through various knowledge sharing activities the VisionICT aims to promote the applicability of ICT in the practical/professional world for their future endeavours. The Computer Science Department at CIIT, is aware for its social responsibility to develope an understanding about the aspects of the courses offered at the campus. In this regard VisionICT invites people from local and national community to communicate the usage and implementation of ICT's in Pakistan.

 

Who can attend?

All the faculty and students of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology can attend and further invitees from academic institutions, industry, Governement and Non-Government organizations will also attend.

CIIT is also focusing on the talent available in deprived and low-income cross-section of society. CIIT has initiated, “IT Talent Hunt” Scheme for such brilliant youth of Pakistan with the aim to nourish those who have no choice except to compromise their potential due to lack of financial support. Computer Science Department, CIIT Abbotabad is offering very affordable package for such talented and deserving students in Bachelors programs: Bachelor in Computer Science (BCS) and Bachelor in Telecommunications and Networks (BTN).
