Engineering Resource Center (ERC)
The Engineering Resource Center (ERC) has been established for facilitating the students so that they can practically verify the theoretical knowledge in order to not only fulfill the demands of the modern world of Science and Technology but to also familiarize with the needs of the industry. For this purpose lab work is extensively done with the students. The faculty involves the students in practical and research work.

To support the faculty for smooth conduction of the Lab experiments
ERC has been playing its due role in the progress of CIIT Abbottabad. ERC has completed different projects which have resulted in a very positive impact on educational environment both within the campus and off campus.
ERC has made “Student Tool Kitâ€. This project has 100 % ownership of CIIT Abbottabad. In this project, locally assembled Tool Kits have been built so that the student of even First semester can have all needed equipments of technical means. if there is unavailability of Laboratory during working hours, one could perform his/her own projects or experiments using the Tool Kit. Most of the parts in this Tool Kit are built by ERC on its own.
Other than Student Tool Kit, some of the other equipments that ERC has made are “Transformer Trainersâ€. Under this project ERC has built and assembled these trainers for different campuses for their respective lab requirements. ERC has delivered 8 Trainers each to CIIT Lahore and CIIT Islamabad Campus, and 4 to CIIT Wah Campus, which have satisfactory working reports from every campus.
Currently ERC is working on some local projects which are based on the requirements of the Electrical Labs here.
