Overview
Department of Management Sciences is one of the oldest departments at CIIT Abbottabad campus, having started with the birth of campus in 2001. The department from its inception till now has made giant strides in the field of Management Studies. Initially the department ran one program of BIT. In Fall 2003, MBA program with four specializations namely Information Technology, Finance, Human Resource Management and Marketing was launched.
In Fall 2004, department expanded its academic portfolio and started BBA (four year duration) with the same specializations as were being offered to MBA. In Fall 2006, a new specialization of “Banking” was offered at both BBA and MBA levels. Keeping in mind the market trends and needs, department added a new program BS Economics in Fall 2007.
Apart from increasing the programs offered at undergraduate levels, MS program was also initiated in Fall 2005, which enhanced research activity in the department. Our Faculty is actively engaged in research activities and has published number of research papers in addition to attending conferences all over the world.
