The show then proceeded with the views of panelists about the topic under discussion.

Dr. Bahadar Nawab said that 1.3 billion population of the world is of youth, most of them are from South Asia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal. He said that education is the pre-requisite for the development of any nation. Only those countries prosper whose youth is well educated. That is the age when a person passes through a lot of transition phases. The young generation is exposed to so many opportunities and challenges in that particular age. If they are not properly educated, the country will not develop.

Ms. Zainab Fakhr said that it is very important that women are not discriminated against viz-a-viz the men. She said that she belonged to that privileged and elite class of Pakistan who is lucky enough to get the opportunity to address the audience as most of the Pakistani women don’t get the opportunity to express their views is such shows. She stated that education does not only mean getting degree as it grooms the overall personality of a person and teaches him to behave in the right manner. It brings a positive change in ones thinking, his way of living and brings the feeling of responsibility in him. She further stated that it is the duty of teachers to inculcate good moral values in students and polish their personalities so that they become good citizens. She said that the teachers and parents must take extreme care of the fact that the students do not encounter the problems that their teachers faced when they were students.

Continuing, she stated that the government should launch more scholarships for the students so that they may get good degrees. She added that more job opportunities should be created for the youth. She said that every one agrees with the fact that Pakistanis are one of the most hardworking and efficient workers outside Pakistan. Reason being that they get employed abroad but do not have job opportunities inside Pakistan which leads them to frustration. We cannot blame them as they get more monetary benefits and rewards while working abroad as compared to Pakistan.

Mr. Anjum Naseer said that education brings positive behavioral change in ones personality. He said that if all young people of Pakistan make themselves good citizens and overcome their negative traits and weaknesses, Pakistan will definitely develop. He was of the view that everyone expects from the youth for the reason that they have energy. He said that it is a famous saying that Learning without Interest is a Crime and Teaching without Aptitude is a Sin. So the teachers should fulfill their responsibilities and should try to make the students useful assets of Pakistan.

Mr. Aziz-ullah Sayal said that Pakistani youth does not lag behind in any respect form the young generation of the whole world. He added that mothers carry a heavy responsibility on their shoulders as the child learns the most important things from his mother.  He said that the reason why most of the students can not succeed in their lives is the fact that they are forced to join the filed their parents want despite the fact that the students themselves have no aptitude for that. Another important reason of not being successful is the societal pressure imposed on the students as they are always told by their parents to find a good job failing which they would not get married. He added that students should be allowed to opt for the subjects which are commensurate with their aptitude and the profession which they want to join after completion of their studies.

At the end, question answer session was conducted in which audience asked various questions about the topic under discussion.
