PIXELS- Photographic Competition arranged by FUNKADA at CIIT Abbottabad

The Performing Art Society of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Abbottabad's FUNKADA organized a photographic competition named PIXELS on December 3, 2009. PIXELS is an event which is being organized by FUNKADA regularly from the last few years.
It is a photographic competition in which certain theme is announced based on which pictures are taken by the participants. The theme of PIXELS this time was “ AUTUMN IN ABBOTTABAD” .
Like previous events of PIXELS, the current one was also a great success. FUNKADA provided a chance to students and faculty who wanted to show their abilities and talent in photography. Even the students who did not participate directly in PIXELS had a chance to be a part of PIXELS by voting for the best picture. The response by the participants and the voters was very positive.
The photography competition was divided in to following two categories:
1) THE HARD COPY:- The size of the hard copy of photographs, which was decided by FUNKADA, was 6 x 8 inches. All the photographs were of same size which made the judgment easy for voters.
2) SOFT COPIES:- Beside the hard copies competition, there was another competition of photographs on the multimedia. Photographs were displayed on the multimedia screens and their voting was separated from the hard copies voting.
RESULTS:-
The photographs were tagged by the FUNKADA with certain numbers and alphabets and the names of the participants were not shown because of the fair voting criteria. Every one chose the best photograph and put their votes in ballot box. There was a fair counting by the FUNKADA body which announced the results.
